Tim Rusk Attorneys is a criminal defense and personal injury firm in Tacoma with deep roots in Pierce
County and a growing practice in King County. Tim was born, raised, and educated here and has handled
thousands of cases in the courthouses where our team works every day. The firm has grown by hiring
people who take the work seriously and giving them room to do it well.
Who we are
People come to us in a hard moment: a criminal charge, an injury, a situation they did not plan for. Our
job is to treat them with respect, tell them the truth, and get to work. Everyone in this office is part of
that, attorney or staff. It is a small firm, and the effect of your work on a client’s case is visible every day.
Direct access to the founding attorney
Tim is in the office and available. Attorneys and staff work directly with him, not through layers. He has
spent his career in these courts and has mentored newer attorneys for years. When you want a second
opinion on a plea offer, a motion, or a difficult client conversation, you walk down the hall.
Independence, with support when you want it
Attorneys here run their own cases and make their own calls. We hire people who can handle a
courtroom and a client without a script, and we trust them to do it. Training and mentorship are there
when you want them. Nobody is looking over your shoulder when you don’t.
Compensation that follows the work
Attorneys earn a competitive base and a direct percentage bonus on the cases they close and carry
through to resolution. Staff has a defined path forward and compensation that moves with the
responsibility they take on. The firm invests in bringing clients in the door so the people here can focus
on serving them well.
